Father, Dick spent 40 years as a top session musician in Los Angeles . Mother, Barbara was a Big Band singer in her day. Brother, Ted is a Jazz and Session musician as well as a member of the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra. Sister Nikki is an artist living in Los Angeles. I started playing guitar at age 10 and was a gear-nut from the beginning. Prior to playing guitar, I used to make miniature guitars out of modeling clay. I also built model cars and airplanes and used to age them to look like they were in crashes and such (very useful skills for what I do now). Age 15 started doing session work as well as playing in bands. This is when I was starting to be able to afford the really good Gibsons, Fenders etc., most of which rarely lived up to their potential due to poor manufacturing and setup, so I started learning about setups, pickups, repairs, wood and everything else guitar in quest of my desires of a great sounding and looking guitars that would perform in clubs and studios without any of the inherent tuning problems and tonal weaknesses that seem all to prevalent. I was also starting to dabble in building custom guitars. My main guitar for many years was a walnut telecaster with a maple/ebony neck that I put together from Mighty Mite, DiMarzio and Fender parts. I worked in music stores both in sales and repairs between 18-22. There are a few rather fuzzy years in my mid 20s (it was the 70s and 80s in LA - need I say more?).After marrying the best girl in the world, I did the “career” thing for many years while being blessed with two wonderful children who are both very talented musicians. Chasing the almighty dollar became less fulfilling and so a few years ago I started tinkering again in the guitar biz. In 2001, with encouragement from my wife and kids, I started back full time in the guitar biz as it is truly where my heart is and I feel I can benefit my fellow players, collectors and gear nuts.Vendu Trouver un modèle de remplacement : Guitares > Vintage Occasions > Bill Nash Guitars
